Govindananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj has given a statement regarding Jyotirmath’s Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda. He said that a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against him, he (Swami Avimukteshwarananda) was declared a fugitive.

He said, ‘We want to tell all this in the Supreme Court, but the court keeps giving next dates and we want justice. Avimukteshwarananda is harming the country. We are putting forward all these documents for the sake of the country. Avimukteshwarananda is killing and kidnapping people. He raised questions against the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram. He is attending weddings pretending to be a ‘sanyasi’. He is saying that 228 kg of gold is missing in Kedarnath, does he even know the difference between gold and brass.

Govindananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj said, ‘Congress, BJP, all CMs and PMs, HMs and everyone is supporting Avimukteshwarananda. Congress party is giving full support to Avimukteshwarananda. When our Guruji became ‘Brahmalin’, these people asked for a letter from Congress and Congress issued the letter. Priyanka Gandhi wrote a letter on 13 September 2022, in which he was addressed as revered Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati Ji.’

Govindananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj said, ‘When the Supreme Court had issued a stay, how did Priyanka Gandhi Vadra write a letter addressing Avimukteshwarananda as Shankaracharya? Will the Congress decide who the Shankaracharya is? Will Rahul Gandhi stand with him when he makes anti-Hindu remarks? Congress is playing a game and Avimukteshwarananda is a toy. I want to ask Priyanka Gandhi Vadra that she should raise an issue. Apologize publicly for writing this letter otherwise we will file a contempt case against her in the Supreme Court.’
